GREAT RIVER BIRDING AND NATURE FESTIVAL MAY 2010
Possibly the best Birding and Nauture Festival around this spring. There will be Birding by Boat, by Kayak and on a Mini-Railcar. Numerous birding hikes, workshops on photography, Lake Pepin History and Future, Bald Eagles, Waterfowl Identification, Frog and Night Sound Hike, Mushrooming, and Gardening with Native Plants and incorporating water into your gardening for wildlife. Keynote Speakers, John “Hawk” Stravers, MN Mississippi River Campaign, Iowa DNR, and Raptor Specialist on Friday evening. Keynote Kim Risen, international birding guide, photography and equipment expert will speak about the Natural World through Binoculars on Saturday evening.
