Bluff Creek Bed & Breakfast ( Chaska )
Minutes away from Minneapolis and St. Paul and all the Twin Cities have to offer, Bluff Creek Inn offers you time and space to retreat from the world, relax and reconnect.
Built in 1860, our German farmhouse sits on an acre of land just off Highway 212 between Shakopee and Chaska in the Minnesota River Valley. Surrounded by woods and farm fields there are no other buildings in sight.
One of the first and oldest B&B’s in Minnesota, the Inn has been highlighted in the Minneapolis Star Tribune as “most romantic getaway”. Fifty-five of the Inn’s guests are repeat customers.
The land was deeded to Captain Luther Clark for service in the War of 1812, was signed by Abraham Lincoln and is framed and hanging on the wall outside the private residence.
Joseph Vogel purchased the land and married Veronica Kessler on July 15, 1854. Theirs is the first recorded marriage of whites in Carver County.
The house was built in the shadow of the nearby bluffs. It was constructed of Chaska bricks manufactured just down the road.
